Parks Maintenance
The Parks Department maintains over 67 city parks and 41 miles of path / trail system. Most of the upgrades and additional developments of the parks are done by the parks staff.  Maintenance tasks include:

• All turf and seed upkeep
• Ball infields
• Blacktop repair
• Buildings and shelters
• Ice rinks
• Irrigation systems
• Landscaping, trees and plantings
• Lighting and electrical
• Painting
• Playground and play structures
• Trail sign installs
• Trash and litter control
• Various construction projects
• Wood and metal fabrication

Work Area Information
Crews are frequently working on or near roadways. Please use caution when driving through work areas.

City Parks

The parks map (PDF) shows locations and features of each park, along with the trail system. The city has 5 major parks/facilities which offer many events and amenities each season.  Our parks are:

• Kelsey Round Lake Park
• Prairie Knoll Park
• Sunshine Park
• Pine Hills North

Bunker Hills Regional Park - Dog Park

Anoka County partnered with the cities of Coon Rapids and Andover on the construction of a Dog Park at Bunker Hills Regional Park located off 133rd Avenue near the existing compost site. The 6.5 acre dog park has a separated small dog area, an open play area and a short trail for those that want to walk with their dog.

Skate Board Park

Andover has a new Skate Board Park located on the west side of Sunshine Park off Crosstown Boulevard. The facility includes a concrete pad and several pieces of equipment for skate boarders such as ramps, rails, etc. 

Adopt-A-Park

Did you know the City of Andover has an Adopt-A-Park program?  The program allows community groups or an individual to adopt a park of their choice to keep litter-free for a 2 year commitment.  The park clean-up takes place 2 times per year, once in the spring and again in the fall.  If you agree to a 2 year commitment, a sign will be placed in the park recognizing your group's contributions to the city's park system.  If you are interested in adopting a park or would like more information, feel free to contact Danielle Lenzmeier, Public Works Administrative Assistant at 763-767-5175 or d.lenzmeier@andovermn.gov
