The Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council and reviews matters concerning City planning and development issues. Commission meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the evening. If appointed, the applicant would serve out the remainder of the vacant seat’s term until January 1, 2023.
Individuals seeking to fill the vacancy must have interest in public policy, willingness to learn, problem solving and communication skills and be able to contribute to positive decision making. Commission members are compensated.
Advisory Commission applications may be obtained at City Hall or on the City website at www.andovermn.gov. Deadline is 4:30 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2021. Applicants will be interviewed by the City Council in September.
