2018 Comprehensive Plan Draft

The Metropolitan Council requires all cities in the 7-county metropolitan area to have a comprehensive plan in place that addresses future land use, transportation, wastewater, water supply, storm water management, and parks. Minnesota state law requires cities to update these plans every 10 years. The 2018 plan is still under review by the Metropolitan Council, who is requiring changes to the plan. Until the 2018 plan is approved the 2008 Comprehensive Plan is still in effect. Updated September 18, 2020.
